Safezones

Safezones (SZ) are areas that restrict who can enter the area. Only the owner and those that have been invited to the safezone can acesss. Players can only have one safezone to their name, either they get invited or they are the owner it will count as one active safezone.

Safezones can be created by players by claiming a residential building. It is prohibited to claim any comercial, community, or any other non-residential building. There are some residential buildings that are vanilla spawning points, also those are restricted by the game.

Safezone owners are responsible for ensuring that their valuable vehicles and items remain within the designated safezone area. Any items left outside of the safezone are considered fair game and can be taken by other players. Keep your belongings safe within containers and your cars safely parked within the area of your safezone.

Fences or walls around the area are adviced to prevent other players from pushing cars out of the safezone.

Safezones expire after 14 days not visiting
#

To keep your safezone active, you must visit it at least once in every 14 in-real life days. Logging in at your safezone is NOT enough to keep it active. You need to spend some time there interacting with things (crates, cooking, etc.). It’s also a good idea to leave the area & come back again to make sure the activity timer has reset properly.

If a safezone expires, it is subject to being reset. The items will be deleted and the area reverted back to Day 1 status.

Extended safezones
#

Self-created safezones are limited in size to the original building dimesions plus 2 squares around. Extending this safezone is available upon player request, considering the following rules:

  • An extended safezone can not be larger than 30x30 (900 squares). We recommend to consider 2 squares out of fences, walls, doors or containers as a margin to prevent players from hitting, breaking of accessing the contained items.
  • Safezones can only have a rectangular shape, it needs to be a single piece and must always contain the original safezone. Also the shape of it can not be extremely long and thin.
  • Safezones should not block any road or driveway to another base, and should be at least 3 squares away from any road.
  • Safezone should not contain partial neighbor houses. It’s ok to claim the house next door as long as it is not claimed yet and the size of the grand zone does not exceed the max size while its enough to cover both houses entirely.
  • If the house is in an existing residential area/neighbourhood, safezone can not extend out of the original outlined area for the house, considering fences, paths, and roads as delimitation.
  • Do not build walls on the edge of the road, walls should be at least 3 squares away from roads.
  • Extended safezone can only be requested for the main account and not for alts.
  • Both extended and regular safe zones have the same expiration time (14 days).
  • Walls can be built to protect your base, but not if they block roads. The exception is if the road is a dead end, or if all the safehouses on the street belong to the same faction.

For player built bases
#

If a player decides to build their own base, not using any pre-existing building, all of constructions rules must be considered in addition to the following:

  • Main building must be already built, or at least the shape of it must be clear.

Admins discretion
#

Custom safezones and extensions are a privilege for nice players and is up to the admins to decide on granting it or not. We default to YES but if you’ve been an unpleasant player we might be hesitant to grant.

Ask nicely an admin for a safezone extension either in game or on appeals channel.

Any other case or consideration not described here must be consulted with an admin if its real. Do not consult on hypothetical scenarios.
